I do have a good reads account but I think I was turned off by the FB posts or maybe the emails they send, so I don't ever use it. Maybe if they had an app, I could give it a try again. I also usually check the reviews on Amazon as well, and then decide if the negatives of a book are something that will put me off or not. If I'm on the fence about it, I will see if I can get a copy of it at my library before I commit to buying. </p> <p>For books that I read for pleasure, I might but if it's author that I love reading, I won't read the reviews because I will already own it or it's already purchased and being shipped. </p>
