So we usually try to celebrate with one side of the family on the 25th and then the other whenever works best. Christmas Eve with my mom's extended family and Christmas Day just us or with my parents/sibs. If we're with DH's family, my inlaws rotate which day is at their house. When my siblings and I were in highschool/college, we would stay up late on the 24th and open presents with family. Or do you celebrate both days?</p> <p>My side of the family used to celebrate on the 24th, but now because of work schedules we always do the 25th. DH's side varies every year. Some years, depending on schedules, we celebrate a completely different day. </p>
