Yep, we set up the change station in our room til he moved to his nursery. If LO is not sleeping in his/her nursery, there shouldn't really be much need to change him there:)

When LO's bassinet was in our room, we did what @SorryCharlie: did - we kept a towel, a couple diapers and wipes in our room, and DH changed him on top of our bed. Even though his nursery was on the same floor as our room, it would have been annoying to have to go there to change him, especially since I fed him in bed. This way we didn't even have to leave the room!

Hmm ok sounds like we need some changing pads and a diaper basket for our room. I wonder if we'll need another wet bag (we're planning on cd-ing) or if we should just put the diaper pail in our room for a little while, since we may not need to use the nursery for at the beginning.

Thanks everyone!

I have a bunch of those disposable changing pads in our room. I can just change diapers on the bed. I keep wipes and diaper cream nearby.

We brought the changing pad and supplies and set them on the dresser for the first month because she pooped alllll the time. Once it got to the point where she wasn't really pooping at night, I put it all in the nursery. Once every 2-3 weeks, she'll poop at night and need a change.

I would just get some of those cheap changing pads and keep supplies in a basket. Our nursery is close to our room so we would just go in there. But I wouldn't have if it was far!

I have never been a fan of the changing table. I change my kiddos wherever they are, especially in the middle of the night! lol

I just threw a towel on the bed and changed her on it - I had a small basket on my nightstand with essentials. that was before I stopped changing her in the MOTN though.

Well we have a one story house and the nurser was next to our bedroom, so we just went into the nursery to change him. I would not have wanted to go down stairs to change him though. Can you just have a pad on the ground or change the baby on your bed. You can just have a little basket with some diapers, wipes & a changing pad.

We had a PnP with a changing table thing on top but it was weirdly tilted and he always ended up covered in pee. Honestly I just kept a couple of changing mats in the changing table bin part and just changed him on our bed.

We're in the process of moving things in our house all around for DS, due in November. And I realized I'm not sure what to do about middle of the night changes while he's in our room.

We have a 4 floor townhouse and we're moving our bedroom to the top floor. DS's nursery will be directly below our room, connected by a staircase, and that will have a changing table. There will also be a pack n play with a changing table in the living room on the 2nd floor, which is our main level.

I can't figure out if we should just go downstairs every couple hours to change him while he's still pooping at night. Or should we set something up in our room? Seems like either a giant PITA to go downstairs, or a lot of changing stations everywhere.
