@JoyfulKiwi: Oh yeah he was not happy with me at first but I gave him the option of sippy cup, go to sleep in my bed or straight back his crib. It didn't take long for him to figure out sippy cup or sleep were the best options!

Yes! He's almost 9 months and nurses 4+ times through the night, often without either of us fully waking up or making a sound! Sometimes it's annoying, but I'm really grateful for this arrangement.

Yes, which is why we stopped cosleeping! My sleep was just not restful. When he is sick or teething and we end up cosleeping he feeds a ton a night, mostly just because it's there.

Yup. A ton. I sleep topless and rarely wake up, and neither does she. This is how she sleeps 10-10 every night. :)

Yes he does. He's 17 months and is so inconsistent. We bring him whenever he wakes up after we've already gone to bed (which varies). Some nights he'll want to nurse every hour (kill me!). Some nights we bring him in and he falls asleep no nursing and sleeps till morning (not often enough!).

I wish he'd figure it out. :silly:

@skipra: We tried the sippy cup replacement and he was MAAAAD. I lost my resolve after night too. I'm a lazy momma

We don't co-sleep anymore, and he's weaned, but when we were co-bedding he nursed off and on all night. I was awesome because he just turned towards me and I could bring my tank strap down pretty much in my sleep.

Yup! DS wakes up or sleep-wakes up, turns towards me and starts mouthing/searching for my boob. If he can't find it after a few seconds, he gets up upset. I've been trying to sleep further away from him and sometimes he'll put himself back to sleep, but most of the time, he gets upset. I've also been trying to put him back to sleep by picking him up and cradling him with slight rocking and no nursing. It works 50/50. Nursing is just so much easier so it just depends on how tired I am at that time. Ha!

We call that "sleeping at the tap" :silly:
During our stretch of co sleeping LO definitely nursed 4-5 times a night! Now I still bring him into bed to nurse, but am trying to get much better at putting him back in his crib.

We bring DS when he wakes in the middle of the night and cosleep the rest of the night. He used to nurse several times and it was making me crazy so I started only letting him have a sippy cup if he wouldn't go back to sleep. He definitely still would nurse if I let him but he doesn't get fussy about it any more. The early morning nursing session is really important to him though, he refuses to get up if he hasn't had it yet.

Does your LO still eat during the night?

We aren't regular cosleepers but I shared a bed with my 10 month old for a night during our vacation. I think she nursed 4-5 times....she normally doesn't eat in the middle of the night.
