He sleeps in our bed sometimes and I never leave him because I get nervous that he'll roll onto his side and suffocate in the pillow or something! If I need to go into the other room I'll try to move him to his swing but most of the time I just stay in the bedroom until he wakes up.

We have a pack and play on one side (with the floor lifted so a 1ft drop) and a bed rail on the other side if I chose to leave him.

He sleeps totally in our bed all of the time.

I read a story about something horrific that happened when a woman left her baby on the bed and went to take a shower so... I won't be doing this.

We cosleep and LO is often alone in the bed (like, from when she goes down until when we go to bed). She NEVER rolls in her sleep - it's sort of weird, but she has never, ever rolled over in her sleep. Even so, we put pillows on either side of her, and have the video monitor on every night as well. I don't worry about it; but that's in great part due to the fact that when LO is out, she is like a little cement block who stays in the same position.

We build pillow walls around the edge of the bed if I have to leave the room to pee or anything like that. I didn't often leave the room though.

We put up a pillow fortress around her. I check on her often, but once she goes down she usually doesn't wake up again until a little after I've gone to bed myself.

Our bed is off the frame & on the floor so if she rolls off it's not far. Infact since we were waiting for her crib to get here & she outgrew her bassinet, the last week she's been sleeping completely in our bed... she rolled off onto the floor today and started playing on her mat I had down there. lol

Before he could roll I would all the time, but now there is NO WAY I would. Now when he wakes up, he flips over and starts to crawl. I actually woke up in the middle of the night last night and noticed he was crawling around in the bed! For this reason I'm actually going to try to co-sleep less often. (These days I pull him into bed at first waking and there he stays for the rest of the night).

This is all about knowing your baby. I know if he's on his back, he will roll once to his tummy and usually wakes himself up. If on his tummy, he doesn't move. I always put him on his tummy in the center of the bed when he sleeps alone.

I used to put pillows on either side of LO before leaving the room. Also kept the video camera on her. Once she started rolling I wouldn't leave her for long.

I'm lying in bed right now because this is where M fell asleep. I'm afraid to leave in case she decides to start rolling and rolls off the bed. If you cosleep, can you out your lo down and safely leave the room?
