Every ethnicity has it's pros and cons, you know? Look good young, but age poorly, have a really interesting long cultural history but have parents who have many rules about your life because of that history. Have lovely dark skin, but have to deal with racism because of it. When I was in elementary school, we were learning about ethnicities and I was very jealous of the kids that could rattle off 10 backgrounds. I got my first job (at an accounting Big 4 firm) right out of school and was contacted by a partner a few months in to be mentored for their diversity program. I'm really not diverse according to their standards, and I came to find out that somehow the firm had messed up my record and noted that I was a Pacific Islander!
