On my (very) shortlist is: Anywhere in Canada, Ireland, France, Switzerland (the only European options) or South Africa (for a short stint). Utah and Colorado are also options which are enticing. Ultimately I want to end up back in Canada, on the East Coast to raise our children when they are school-aged. Our plan is to live in France, probably Paris but perhaps a small town in southern France that is close to Marseille (so we would have quick access to the high speed train line.) We would live in that place but then take a lot of trips to various places through Europe. The other place that is a possibility is Turkey, it would be a really other worldly experience and it would leave our children with an amazing language skill (we would probably wait until they are a touch older to go here versus France.) Truthfully though unless we had family in poor health we would move just about anywhere if the right experience came about.
