I still like celebrating his bday in nice weather. </p> <p>Baby 2 is due at the end of June. I've never taught while being so pregnant, so we'll see how that goes! I was scheduled to take 12 weeks and return the first week of the new year. (+2 bonus weeks since she was early) Things were slow at work, I got away with a lot of flowy dresses through the summer, and was able to spent the fall/holiday season at home. When I wanted to go out I'd go christmas shopping. </p> <p>Now that #1 is in daycare/preschool near my office, she wont go while I'm home on maternity leave, so ideally if she's going to miss 3 months, the summer would be the best time to pull her out. In retrospect. Haha. At the time I felt like I was stuck inside as it got colder but as the last year has unfolded I realized that the early months is when you want to be stuck inside, not when they are older and mobile and want to explore. Especially in an apartment!<br /> But I was a hermit except for a once daily walk. I don't like to go out with a newborn. Too stressful. So yeah, in retrospect I think mid-August would be perfect. My mom had babies in May, July and October, and says she vastly preferred may. I had my kiddo at the end of august. Thankfully, my tolerance for hot weather actually got better during pregnancy, but it was still a long summer. The late August baby was okay as a first time mom, but I didn't get out much, and there were a million other things going on postpartum. With the late May baby, I loved it. I spent most of the summer outside on walks with him and had a blast. My recovery felt quicker with him despite an early complication. I loved both for different reasons :)</p> <p>DS1 was a Nov baby and while it was cold out, I was a FTM that didn't want to venture out the first 6-8 weeks much anyway and I got to use cold/flu season as my excuse for being on top of people about hand washing, touching, holding, visits, etc.</p> <p>DS2 was a July baby and I had an amazing recovery so I was so happy it was warm out that we could be out and about nearly every day! I'd want to spread out the birthdays now, but otherwise, I thought it was an awesome time for a baby. Lots of snuggles and family time during the holidays, and then right as they become more aware, the weather is perfect for getting out. They start solids right in time for farmers markets and fresh produce. They're crawling and walking right as the weather is perfect for parks. We both were off for 13 weeks and home with LO, which was amazing. If we ever had another, I would definitely try to play for a May or June baby. </p>
