Little did I know it would have been the last time my family would be completely together. My father died a few months after my engagement party from a stroke. I should have cherished those last moments with him and spent more time with him. I would have done so many things differently to be a better daughter. It was a bittersweet year. My wedding day was one of the happiest days of my life (prebaby days). </p> <p>Also 2013- the year I became a mother. I loved everything about becoming a mom, loving someone unconditionally at first sight, and holding my baby for the first time was a dream come true. I was a carefree single girl living the dream life in London - working a fabulous job, living in a beautiful flat in a great neighbourhood, travelling as much as my 46 days annual leave from work would allow (I visited four continents that year and numerous European countries on weekend breaks!), surrounded by a great group of friends and had an amazing social life, not to mention an amazing wardrobe :-)</p> <p>I love my life now, but those four years of living abroad and travelling around the world were the absolute best years of my life. Completely independent with nothing to tie me down (other than a job I loved that paid the bills), financially comfortable with no major responsibilities, and time to live my life for me and me alone.
