My doctor called me frantically to give me my results (in case i wanted to term the pregnancy) but I had already had the miscarriage over the weekend. I was surprised that the ER didn't contact my doctor's office (they said that they would). Of course the numbers in their clinical data are small and I figured they weren't statistically significant. They say they have great than 99.9% accuracy. Their breakdown is 469 of 469 males were correct, and 533 of 533 females were correct. </p> <p>Also - I had MaterniT21 with my first and the results came back good, 1:40,000 chance for Down's. I really loved finding out this early, and we thought it was fun to be able to tell our friends and family about the pregnancy and the sex at the same time. I had my 16-wk anatomy scan today and confirmed that it's definitely still a boy :) the doctor told us that .05% of Panoramas get the gender wrong, so, 1/200 women. This pregnancy I will be doing Panorama as soon as I can but DH and I are on the fence about finding out gender. We were team green with our first daughter and that was a wonderful surprise. Keep in mind that some of the things they are looking for are sex chromosome abnormalities and thus if your bloodwork comes back with a "result", your doctor may tell you by telling you what the pattern is indicating. In our case, we had a pattern that indicated we were high risk for trisomy X (triple X syndrome).
