Once in two years, but I could see it on the monitor and fix it. He was probably around a year or so when it happened. It was not tight or dangerous, he just couldn't figure out how to back up to get it out. (Leg)

Never had a bumper and no limbs ever got stuck during sleep. A couple of times he got a leg stuck when we were in the room with him and he was purposefully sticking his leg through, and I just helped him. But during sleep, no. Never.

We never had a problem with not having bumpers. Although, for the first 7 month of DS's life, he slept in a pack n play due to living in our tiny condo and he did like to sleep with his face up against the side. I did have a friend who's daughter would only sleep well for naps with both her legs sticking out of the crib.

We have never had a bumper of any sort and she has never gotten stuck. She two but in a sleep sack at night but not during Nap. She never took a binky or paci so no issue with losing those. Also at daycare bumpers aren't allowed in the cribs by law.

We used breathable for about 3 months, and then she was trying to use them as a stepping stone and our doc said to take them out that she doesn't recommend them. I explained her leg is always through and she said she'd prefer that to a broken skull, I agreed :)

He would stick an arm or leg out all the time, but it only ever got stuck once. He wasn't hurt, just scared that he was stuck. If was going to be an ongoing problem, I would have put a bumper up. But since it only happened once, I didn't bother with it.

I took my breathable bumpers off the other day because I caught him trying to stand on them to propel himself over the crib (in case you need another argument to your husband). He hasn't gotten anything caught since, but he does sometimes toss his loveys or wubbanubs overboard now.

yea it happened all the time at first when she started rolling and sitting up a lot. Like at least a few times per week (counting all naps and bed time because we stay home). But it wasn't really a big deal. She'd get stuck and I'd go unstick her and move on with our lives. Now at 8 mo I can't remember the last time she got stuck. Probably a month ago or more.

I never used bumpers, and my son has only gotten his arm stuck once. It was really no big deal. He started crying, I came in, and then I helped him move his arm out. There was no bruising or anything. I'm not sure if it was really stuck or if he just didn't know how to pull his arm out himself. Anyway, it never happened again.

He moves around a lot in his cot and I've seen him with hands / arms through the holes, but he always gets them back in with no drama. He's 13 months and never had bumpers

...does your LO's arms/legs ever get stuck in the crib slats? We have breathable bumpers on our DD's crib right now but I'm sick and tired of the fact that they don't match her crib sheet. It's a total first world problem, I realize. They matched for our first LO and now, with a girl, it looks pretty dreadful. My husband is insistent that if I take them down (he was the one who wanted them up with our first) that she will get stuck in the slats.

Has this happened to your LO or no?
