I would look for a doc doing research studies. I Googled the closest doctor to my house that took my insurance, so I got really lucky that I liked them. The are literally within my city block. You've tried looking online already, I see. Have you tried looking through your insurance company to see who's in network? You could always try another few docs until you find one you like. I loved it because it was sooooo relaxing. But didn't help my migraines :( @Coco Bee: I asked my doctors when I was pregnant because I wanted to switch then (and did switch, but to someone I don't like) and they all said to go to the doctor that I already went to. He's supposed to be THE migraine guy so everybody will always say him. Too bad he's a jerk. I think that's often the most handy, 'cause even if you find the best doctors, being able to get in to see them is a whole other challenge). But I also look up the rankings for the specialty on the us news top doctor lists. We live near many of the top doctors in the world, so you better believe I take full advantage of our proximity to great healthcare! Have you checked the us news for specialists in your area? I hope you're able to find someone that can help you soon! Angie's List has a Health list, I think it's an extra $2 a month (making the whole subscription like $5 a month and totally worth it). There aren't a whole ton of reviews on there, but it's a start! Problem is.... I don't like his person. He's supposed to be the best, but I went to him for years and not only could he not fix me, but he has such bad bedside manner that he made me anxious and made my migraines worse each time I saw him. So I switched to someone else..... who was mean to me. So I'm on the hunt for a migraine doctor. And I have no idea how to find one. I can't seem to find anything online.
