I vow never to have another dog again because its so much responsibility and traveling was hard finding someone willing to take the dogs in. Plus I could not go through watching another animal being put out again. My dog was sick for about a year before he left us so it weighed so heavily on me. OUR responsibility. I don't think I'd put dogs in the care of school-aged kids.
