It caused cramping for me every time I drank it, so I eventually did quit drinking it and I stopped having the cramping. I would also have diarrhea so at that point I decided any benefits it might have weren't worth it for me.

It's doing exactly what it's meant to do!! :) I JUST posted about my pregnancy tea on my blog (link is in my profile) yesterday ... If you don't have a huge stash of RRL tea, I'd suggest making your own blend. I have still noticed cramping, but I'm 37 weeks, so it's not really freaking me out. Timing is key ... if the tea is causing (which is actually probably wouldn't be the tea) painful, period-like cramps at a rate of 4+ per hour, then I'd talk with your caregiver.

@citymouse: Then yes, I would probably decrease the amount or stop. The point of it that early is to help tone your uterus, not send you into labor! It could be coincidental though, so keep an eye on your body for other signs of pre-term labor!

@citymouse: I wouldn't worry about it. RRL won't send you into labor (though it might speed up labor if you are already in it).

Cramping does not = labor. Braxton hicks serve the same purpose: toning the uterus. If it gets to be uncomfortable and it's bothering you than you can scale back, but don't do it just because you are worried about pre-term labor. It won't do that.

Yes, but I didn't start until 38 weeks with a small cup or two a day (when we were ready in case it worked too well), and cramping was extremely mild. He didn't come until a week later.

That's normal! It's toning your uterus. How many weeks are you?

I am on my second week of RRL. The first week I drank about 8 oz. a day. This week I am drinking about 12 oz a day, and was planning to continue to increase in small increments.

The first week I didn't notice any body changes, but today (my first day of 12 oz) I was drinking my glass and about 30 mins later noticed cramping. Just like light menstrual cramping.

If this happened to you, did you stop? Would you have stopped if you had experience cramping?
