Yes, usually. Like when Angels and Demons got popular, I ran and read all the other Dan Brown books :silly:

If I can, yes, I will definitely read more of the same author! That said I loved a book by a certain author, but I've never finished an other one I have of her!!

I've read nearly the entire works of Henry Miller, Haruki Murakami, JK Rowling and Amélie Nothomb.

I've read a number of books by John Dos Passos and Emile Zola, but not even close to their full works.

Not necessarily, unless it's a series I enjoy. If there are books that sound good to me by an author I've enjoyed before, I'll read them. If the topic doesn't sound interesting, I'll skip it.

I do tend to seek out more books by the same author if I enjoy one of them. Bel Canto was my first Ann Patchett novel and I ended up reading two of her others: Run (which was kind of forgettable) and State of Wonder (which I loved).

I've read all of Tana French's novels but her most recent one. I've also read most of Ian McEwan's novels. On the nonfiction side, I'm a Peter Hessler and Michael Lewis completist.

There are a few magazine/online writers I'll consistently seek out too: David Grann, Caity Weaver and Mallory Ortberg come to mind.

It depends on what the other books are about but often I will, yes. A few weeks ago I read a Liane Moriarty book I liked and immediately read 3 others.

Usually yes. I actually have a little noteook that lists all the books I want to read. Once I've read a couple of books by an author I like I usually keep track of that author and read everything they've ever written!

Jodi piccoult, Emily giffin, Jennifer wiener are a few authors that come to mind who have many books each and I've read them all. For the most part, I think they've all been really good.

I'm looking for books to read, and am curious how people pick which books to get! I loved Ann Patchett's Bel Canto, but haven't gotten around to reading her other books. But I also love Michael Connelly, and have read everything he's ever written.

I think for me, if I love a book in a series... then I'll read the whole series. If it's just a standalone book, then I won't always make the next step. Gonna buy Ann Patchett's latest though, as I hear good things!

If you enjoy a book by an author, do you read all the books they've ever written?
