I knew DS2 was going to be "early" and not make it to my scheduled csec, and I was right. But then again, I was having prodromal labor for two weeks and was going to lose my mind if he didn't come early! He wasn't really super early though....I had him at 38w6d.

Both of my kids came early at 39 weeks and change (with the first). I was kind of sad I didn't make it to 40 weeks, but both of them liked being early. I also think that my body could only handle pregnancy up until 39 weeks. My second one was supposed to be induced, but he woke up one morning in utero and was ready to be born that night.

@LAZB: oh gosh that would be like being overdue! You have me scared hahah

My first came at 37/5 and my second at 37/1. I'm 33.5 with this one and am d.o.n.e. We just moved, I'm exhausted, everything hurts and my way bigger than I was now then when I delivered my first two. I can't wait! ( well I can, I wouldn't want to be this early.)

Anyways, I always felt like my first would be early, I talked to my belly every night and begged it to come while my mil was out of town. Luckily, out of no where, she came just over 2 weeks early while my mil was away :)

Oh man I think most women think they are going early because they are just so done. I thought I would be early and was, but only because I got induced

Everyone thought I'd have LO1 a month early because I was a month early, my niece was a month early, and my third trimester was during the hot humid summer but I made it to 39 weeks 6 days.

@codeitall: Noooo. My first was born at 40+3, so for my second i worked right up to my due date thinking she would come a couple of days later. Nope, she decided to come 11 days later at 41+5. I thought I would have her earlier too because I had false labor for weeks, but she was posterior and my body was trying to get her into position.

My first came at 38 weeks. With my second, I had tons of labor-y signs starting super early so I was sure I wouldn't last even that long. But LO2 came at 39+1!

ETA I was planning on going in to work that day, but got sent to L&D during my morning ob appointment. :)

I totally thought I was going to go early. I carried low (but convinced myself that it was the baby dropping towards the end). It was just wishful thinking. I went 4 days over which felt an eternity!

My mom delivered both her kids at 37 weeks so I didn't think I'd reach my due date. DS1 came at 38w6d and DS2 came at 38w4d. I measured way ahead with #2, and despite coming before my due date he was 9lbs 11oz!!!😳

My first was 35 weeks and my second was 36 weeks. My mom had all three kids at 35 or 36 weeks, so when I went to 38 weeks with my third I couldn't believe it! It was like being overdue, but not really lol.
I had a placental abruption with my third, so I won't get that far again, max will be 37 weeks.

@codeitall: I'm 31 weeks and so ready for baby too!! I told DH "9 more weeks... but let's hope it's really only 6 or 7" 😂😂😂

I had my first at 38+5, but I was induced so I have no idea how long I would have gone with him! I'm really hoping I deliver early too. I'm so uncomfortable.

I'm planning to work until the very end. I wish I could start mat leave early or even go to part time for the last month or two, but DH isn't working so I'm sole bread winner and need to work until the day I deliver! I'm a nurse, so it's getting tough to keep working!

I really thought I would go early with DD. I'm not sure why. I think it's because my sister had all three of her kids early and a lot of people I knew did too. DD ended up being three days late, which isn't a huge deal, but at the time it was so frustrating! I kept working, and every day when I walked into school (I'm a teacher) the kids were like, "You're still here?!?!" Ugh, yep.

If you are measuring ahead and went early with #1 I bet you'll go early this time too. This time I'm not getting my hopes up for myself. ;)

Did baby come early? If not, what did you do till baby came? Keep working till the baby finally showed up? Order pizza and eat ice cream every night?

I am just so ready to be done and I'm only 32 weeks! My mother had 5 of 6 kids early (one came two days late) and my first was 11 days early. This baby is also measuring ahead just like my first. I know babies come when they're ready, but I can't help finding reasons to expect this one early! :silly:
