@sorrycharlie: Yay! My old doctor's office just did a finger prick and checked right there, so I watched the number come up. I'm surprised that isn't how most do it.

We can look at our test results online, so I knew I'd failed before I went to bed that night. The endocrinologist's office called me the next morning. I "failed" by .1, and ended up on injectible insulin by the end of my pregnancy.

@lazypanda: I just read your reply above... I got GD around 12 weeks also! :) I'm 27 weeks now... man it was a bummer to find out so early and having to deal with it for so long. Sorry you found out so early too! I wish this on no one. It's not that bad though - I also think... this is for the baby... only x more weeks of pricking. :)

My hospital gives results the same day through their website... they usually e-mail you saying "new lab results available for viewing" and you have to login to the website. So I knew I failed the same day. BUT my doctor didn't contact me for a day or two I believe about taking the 3 hour test.

I tested on a Saturday & received a "you need to schedule the three hour" phone call on Monday. I passed the three hour test the following Saturday & had my NT scan on Monday so no phone call was made. I had to do the glucose test so early (I'm 12 weeks now) due to possible family history of GD so maybe that's why I received my results quickly? Good luck!

I tested Friday and was told Wednesday that I failed.

If you don't hear for a few days, call anyways. I wasn't called with D and it turned out I had it and it was noticed too late. I ended up with PROM at 32 weeks and a (big) preemie.
