I gained about 60. Lost a bunch right about--about 25 lb. Was down 40 lb within 2 months. Was down 55 lb 5 months pp. Fought the last 5 plus 5 between 7-13 months postpartum.

Still working on a few vanity pounds.

Nursing didn't do anything for me--i was hardly making anything and quit by 12 weeks PP.

I gained 60 freaking pounds and lost about 30 one week after delivery. Still working on losing the rest, 11 months later, although I'm now re covering from a killer stomach flu that may have finally done the trick!

I gained 56lbs with #1, and lost 25-30lbs or so in the first 6w!

The rest came off with more time, I found I had to work really hard for the last 10lbs.

@runnerd: I gained 50+ish both times.
By 6 weeks I was down 30lbs without even trying. Just pigging out, drinking a lot of water and nursing. :)

The 20+ was a pain in the butt to lose :P
DS is 16 months old and I'm finally at pre-pregnancy. Still wanna lose 8lbs though!

I gained 57 with my first. I lost 24 within the first 3 weeks pp and another 15 by 8 weeks pp. I think I was under my pregnancy weight by 3-4 months. It really came off fast with breast feeding and working out hard. Faster than weight came off before pregnancy for sure!

I only gained 27lbs with my second and lost 17lbs by 12 months pp. I was still up about 7 lbs from pre-preg weight when I got pregnant with my third!

I gained somewhere between 40 and 45 lbs and went to 42 weeks. I'd lost 25 lbs by 6 weeks postpartum. By 7 or 8 months pp I'd lost all but 5 lbs and I'm still working on those now (12 months pp), but starting to think they won't come off until DD weans completely.

I gained 40 and had lost 10 by the time I came home from the hospital. By 6 weeks pp I was down a total of about 25. I hit a bit of a plateau for a while (those last few pounds would not budge!) but I was pretty much back to my pre-baby weight after 5 months.

I gained 60 lb and lost about 25 I'm the first month. I easily lost 5-10 lb a month until LO was six months and I had 5 lb left. She's almost 9 months and that last 5 lbs is not budging, but I think it will come off when we wean.

I gained 40 and it took me about 7 or 8 months to lose it all. I didn't have to do anything drastic or crazy, it just slowly came off. However, my pants are still tight because even though the numbers on the scale are the same as pp, my stomach definitely isn't!

I gained 50 and lost 20. My son was 8.7 so clearly it waste than just baby. The rest took me about 9 months to lose but I wasn't going crazy dieting or exercising and I had a bad late night juice box drinking habit when I was up with my colicky newborn. Don't worry you'll get there. I find that the rule 9 months on 9 months off applies to most and if you have a great metabolism or work at it even sooner.

I gained 55 (maybe close to 60 with all the swelling I had at the end) and by my six week appointment I had lost 37 lbs. I lost the rest of it throughout the first year and by the time he turned one I was 5lbs under my pre pregnancy weight. I didn't really do much either, just breastfeeding and eating kind of healthy.

I gained about 45 and lost 25-30 within the first month and a half. That was also with sitting in the NICU pretty much 24/7, so if I had actually been at home being active, I think I would have lost more.

I gained 40 pounds with DS. I don't remember how much I lost immediately. By around 5 months I lost it all plus about 10 pounds. I did not exercise or do any special diet. I also didn't breastfeed. I did get back on the pill which always makes me lose about 10 pounds. However, pants did not fit me the same and I was up a size even though weight wise I was down. I also noticed I was not as toned as I was before baby.

So most of it just came off naturally!

I gained 45 lbs. I was down 20 lbs within a week of having my LO (I think it would have come off immediately but I was SUPER swollen for a few days after due to the IV fluids). I was down another 10 by the time she was 3 months. And now I'm down another 6 lbs (averaging 1 lb a month) now at more than 9 months post partum.

HOWEVER, I have done nothing at all---I don't work out, I have a sedentary job, and I eat massive, massive amounts. I do exclusively pump, so I guess that is what has helped take the weight off in spite of how much I eat.

I'm about 9 lbs over pre-pregnancy weight. I have a feeling I will actually have to work out and watch what I eat for these 9 lbs to go.

I gained about 45lbs. In the first couple weeks I had lost all but about 5-10lbs and that weight came off in 2nd month or so. In the 2nd month, all the weight was gone and I was back to my pre-baby self. I didn't do anything special to lose it, it just came off naturally. Try not to worry too much about it!

I gained 60 pounds and lost 30 by my 6 week appointment (I had serious swelling in my second--but particularly my third!--trimester(s)). For me, unfortunately, BFing made it incredibly difficult to lose weight (fully weaned at 15 months), and I have been s-l-o-w-l-y peeling off the last bit. I've got about 15ish to go at 20 months pp, but otherwise, everything is pretty much back to the way it was pre-pg.
