Now if LO whines for more videos, I say, just 1 more ok? And wait for her to say "yes", then show her a short clip and say "all done". She will start whining, and asking for more, but then I remind her that we said only 1 more, and she'll be fine.</p> <p>LO is 20 months now. It's very hard to go back to a limited screen time routine though. </p> <p>Honestly after giving so much screen time to my first at a young age, and them having him tantrum for it / have boundary issues with it (mostly around age 2), I'm really trying to limit R's screen time. He was definitely a little tv monster/tantrums galore when we turned it off, or refused to turn it on. It got bad, so we just tried our best to cut out the TV during the week, and now that the weather is nice, we get outside a lot more. </p> <p>All that to say, at 22 months, he is 100% ok when we turn the tv off. we will say, "ok it's time to..." and he says bye bye and waves bye to the TV. I think it honestly is an age thing. He couldn't handle it at 16/17/18mo when we turned it off, but he is "mature" enough to move on at 22 months. It sucked. I feel so bad that I created the monster but at the same time some days I really just can't, being in the thick of 1st trimester. </p>
