Usually, once I'm awake, I'm awake. DH gets up at 0330 for work and I almost ALWAYS wake up and stay up for a good amount of time when he leaves. But for some reason, I am been sleeping so much better lately. :)

Depends on how much activity has occurred during the awakening. If it's just to get up and pee, then I'll fall back asleep within a few minutes. If I had to get up to put laundry from washer to dryer or help hubby load up the car, then it'll take me awhile to fall back asleep.

No, I have a pretty hard time falling back asleep. L usually wakes up to eat around 6AM and sometimes she'll go back down for another hour or so around 630AM, but unfortunately, I'm wide-awake :(

Usually I can fall back asleep! But if it's close to when I have to wake up, say an hour or less, then it's harder because I obsess about how I'm missing out on an hour of sleep!

I used to be great at falling back asleep... but as my sleep schedule has gotten less regular, my skillz have atrophied.

I've always been a great sleeper. I think my white noise machine has helped as I've gotten older- If I wake up, I just focus on the noise and I'm back out. DH sleeps even harder than me and never wakes up (barking dog/screaming baby).

Get out of my head. I've been up since 3 and I was just laying in bed wondering if I'll have such a hard time falling back to sleep once LO is here! I tried and tried to go back to sleep but I finally just gave in and moved out to the couch to watch TV.

I have horrible insomnia. Like, C started screaming her head off at about 5am this morning and I couldn't fall back asleep... even though we went to a late showing of Skyfall last night and I didn't fall asleep until 2.

I have had varying degrees of insomnia my whole life, and I definitely sleep better post kids because I'm so tired. I passed out at 7:30 last night and woke up at 1 and have been up since. Rare that I pass out like that, but just to give you an idea of how tired I am sometimes. I doze off pretty much every single day while nursing too.

If I get woken up, especially in the early morning, I can almost NEVER fall back asleep. This morning our dog started barking like crazy at 4:00, so I've been up since 4:00. I try to lay there and fall back asleep, but it never works. Of course DH doesn't hear the barking to begin with and is upstairs snoozing away. I like mornings, and feel fine now, but I know I'll be grumpy later today because I didn't get enough sleep.

Do you have a hard time falling back asleep? Once you have an LO does it get easier to fall back asleep?
