I know my mom sent my aunt flowers, and they were dead, and she did tell my mom so she would know to not use that florist again. I think if they were in really bad shape, I would tell my DH, but in a sweet way.</p> <p>Personally I never use Proflowers, 1-800 Flowers, any "flowers in a box." I always Yelp/Google reviews of local florists and order an arrangement over the phone. I think it all depends on the tone, though. I wouldn't "complain" about it, I would more just be notifying if that makes sense. I wouldn't want to not say anything and then have the person who sent them order from the same place again and again thinking they were great. We had a horrific experience with 1-800 flowers years ago and will never again order from them or any of their competitors. We always look up local florists and call them directly now! </p> <p>Basically they never even delivered the flowers he ordered, then when he called to complain and get his money back they ignored him and sent a totally different and cheaper boquet to me a week late. He spent hours on the phone screaming at people until they finally agreed to refund him. They tried everything not to give him his money back though. Oh and because of this we also don't do flowers for V-day anymore unless they're bought on the way home from work from our local shop.
