I haven't delivered number 2 yet but as of now...
Baby 1- boy, gained 29, no stretch marks
Baby 2-(as of 39 weeks) girl, gained 26, have a few stretch marks around belly button.

It seems like she's been much higher than with my son so I think that's what did it vs size. I'm expecting her to be smaller or the same as my son based on my gain but will report back if she does happen to be big :)

I got more stretch marks with #2. Lo2 was half a pound bigger but I think it was more due to LO2 being in a different position than LO1.

I got more the second time around and my baby was 3.5 pounds smaller and I gained 10 pounds less. And the second time I got them on my upper thighs when I never did before.

With my first (6 pounds 12 ounces), I gained 12 pounds, carried very 'in', and got one big red stretch mark. I already had some from gaining a bunch of weight after high school, and those got a bit longer, but not red. With my second (7 pounds 2 ounces), I gained 27 pounds, carried way more out, and got a few small new marks above my belly button. The ones I already had also got longer. But my weight gained seemed to not have anything to do with it - I got some each time.

Some at the top of my belly extended maybe half an inch. I mean, barely. But they are new. And yes, T was a good 2 inches longer and 1/2 lb heavier. I gained less the second time, though.

I gained the same weight for both babies and they were similar in birth weight too, but I started off at a higher pre-pregnancy weight for number 2, so I think that may be why I gained more stretch marks during my second pregnancy.

I had a few additional stretch marks with my second. I'm petite and only gained 15 lbs or so. Both of my kids weighed about the same (only 3 oz difference).

Was your baby bigger?

I got a ton of stretch marks the first time from my belly button down. I thought I would be safe from getting more this time because I weigh 30lbs less than I did the first time. I gained so much weight with my first pregnancy. It turns out I'm getting a lot of new ones above my belly button. I'm wondering if this baby is going to be a lot bigger...
