Yikes!</p> <p>I was super nervous about this because we had secondary infertility and had to seek treatment. We did clomid and had 3 mature follicles but sighed a huge sigh of relief when we saw 1 gestational sac. With a singleton first baby, at least for me, I've been able to just soak it up and enjoy it (I also love the newborn and infant stages though). I figure with twins as a second pregnancy, things would be pretty crazy whether I was having one more or two more. Plus, then I'd get to have three kids instead of our agreed upon 2. Because everybody says that going from 1 to 2 is so much harder than 0 to 1, so imagine going from 1 to 3 - having to deal with the stresses of two newborns PLUS a toddler! Also I have an acquaintance with twins and I once said to her "I can't imagine having two at once!" and she said "I can't imagine having only one!" Almost everyday I thank god I had the twins first. Newborn twins are so hard. I didn't sleep for at least 6-8 months. I can't imagine having to also take care of a toddler while caring for baby twins. I'm expecting that things will be easier with toddler twins and a newborn. So things are really hard, but I don't actually know if it's that much harder than a singleton because I have nothing to compare it to. If I'd had a singleton first, I think it'd be a much harder transition! But then they asked if having twins later on (after having a singleton) would be easier since you're more confident as a parent!</p> <p>What would you prefer! (as if you can choose :P) </p>
