Luckily I work with my family so I was able to take 14 weeks maternity leave as well. I'm 27 weeks. I'm an attorney and thankfully I can work remotely so I am working full time remotely from home. So, I don't anticipate it affecting my mat leave. I was only managing a coffee shop/wine bar, though, so there wasn't exactly a great HR department. There was only 7 or 8 employees so I didn't qualify for much.</p> <p>With #2, I was put on modified bed rest toward the very end of my pregnancy, but at this point I was doing marketing and communications for a non-profit and was able to work remotely from home. I was out for 17 days before birth and just had to submit doctors notes to get paid for the sick days I had accrued. (I'm a teacher.)
