Yes, I had pain a few days after and it turned out to be a UTI. It went away quickly after I started antibiotics. I just went to one of those urgent care places so I could get the drugs ASAP, and they made sure to give me meds that were safe for breastfeeding (if that's a concern). Pain when stopping peeing is classic UTI. I thought as much! I was really hoping it wasn't a UTI. I've had several, and this feels different, but it could definitely be an infection. Usually with a UTI I have a burning pain while peeing, and then it hurts all the time until I get an antibiotic. This is like a sore muscle type pain, and doesn't hurt while I'm peeing or otherwise.. just when I start and end. You could have developed a UTI from having a catheter. That's what happens to me. I had one during the epi and then because I couldn't pee on my own after they took it out and before they move me to the recovery room, I had an unmedicated straight cath! I think that is the one that did me in. Anyway what you are describing sounds like the pain I had with the UTI. OB/GYN gave me antibiotics and ran some bloodwork to confirm.
