I had an easy pregnancy, relatively easy, med-free labor, but LO was not an easy baby. At 18 mos he's still very challenging!!

Easy pregnancy - minor nausea, very active throughout, Kidney stones at 20 weeks and a car accident at 24 weeks (but those were outside factors)

Easy labor - 38 weeks water broke, no contractions. Pitocin in the hospital 12 hours after starting the IV and 2 hours of that was pushing Fi was born at a healthy 7lbs 12 oz.

Easy pregnancy, ROUGH labor, easy recovery. The labor was the shortest out of the others so I guess I can't complain too much. :)

I had an easy pregnancy (so, so, so thankful), and my labor was easy. I got induced due to an IUGR baby at 37 weeks. He didn't like my left side while getting induced, but they broke my water and started pitocin at 11:30am. I was 10cm by 6:15ish? and I had to push him out by the 3rd set of pushes.

However, homie is a terrible night time sleeper. He thrives on naps and power naps.

Compared to many, I had both easy pregnancy & labor, obviously I was still uncomfortable and pushed a human being through my vagina, however...it wasn't as traumatic as many people.

That being said? The newborn stage (first year) was effing HELL. He slept like shit (calling it "sleep" is a stretch) he had horrible gas/constipation issues, he was very fussy/needy. My friends who had the worst pregnancies/labor had VERY easy newborns so maybe it's a tradeoff? ;-)

Easy pregnancy, very long labor (56 hours) and LO struggled a bit at the end. Aside from the duration, and the very very minor complications with her, it was fine. I mean, nothing like what I expected or planned for, but not a horror story.

There were several times when I was pregnant that I was sure something was wrong b/c I didn't feel any different. My only symptom for the most part was that I was more tired and had heartburn. Of course as I got bigger sleeping sucked but it is what it is.

I had to be induced b/c my son is apparently stubborn. I went from basically "you're maybe 1cm" and ten days post due to baby in 18 hours. I had an epidural around 5cm and pushing only took 20 minutes. My 9lb baby caused a rough recovery but labor was fine.

Good luck!

Easy pregnancy, easy labor, super colicky newborn-4 months. But he started sleeping through the night at 8 weeks, so I was lucky there as well!

I threw up once in the first trimester and only gained 14 lbs total (not intentionally, and Jack was a very health 7 lb 2 oz at delivery). I was in active labor for just a few hours and pushed for 20 minutes.

Then I trekked all over the NICU for a few days (severe jaundice) and then our house for a few months (colic, and he was only calmed by me holding him and walking around). Those first few months were so, so hard. But pregnancy and labor/delivery were easy peasy. Hope you have a dream delivery!

Both were very very easy. Super easy, comfortable pregnancy, zero issues or complications. 9 hour labor, epidural went smoothly, I pushed for 20 minutes and he was out! Recovery was also great.

I'd say mine was average, puked all day every day for the first 17 weeks then the rest of pregnancy was fine. I was induced so 8 hours of labor (was back labor) without pain meds (wasn't allowed an epidural) and lo was out in 2 pushes. Had a small labial graze.

I wouldn't say my pregnancy was easy but it was typical. I had morning sickness but it wasn't bad, I felt great in the second trimester, in the third trimester I had heartburn & was tired & uncomfortable. At the very end my ankles swelled but it wasn't terrible. I had insomnia but again that is typical. So I voted "easy pregnancy."

I ended up having prodromal labor for 5 days which was one of the most horrible experiences. My labor was not excruciating when I finally got going but I was exhausted. I had complications and had an emergency C section which broke my heart.

I also had a fussy, high needs newborn. I totally believe the old wives tale - easy pregnancy, hard baby, and vice versa. My cousin had the pregnancy from absolute hell & her baby is a complete angel.

I voted "easy, easy" ... But, my easy labor still HURT! :) It was unmedicated, at home ... But my labor progressed like a textbook labor. Lasted six hours. Pushed for 15 minutes. Delivered an intact placenta, and only had minimal tearing (two sutures).

My recovery was a lot harder than I thought it would be, but a baby came out of me, so I guess it makes sense! :)

Aside from pretty bad all day sickness from weeks 6-10 I had a good pregnancy. I attribute that to going off work early ( 31 weeks I think.) and not being stressed. Had I been working my long days on my feet, I think things would have gotten more difficult.
My labour was easy, 6 hours from when my water broke, less than 5 hours from my first contraction. It went by quick and no tearing. It took me about 2 weeks to feel normal. As the baby was sitting extremely low, I had a lot of internal bruising that made it difficult to walk normal for those first 2 weeks haha.
Baby is good, STTN since about a month old. Not really many issues with her.
I attribute everything to going off work early. I know that's not possible for a lot of people, but I took a medical leave. I work split shifts in nursing so I had 16 hour days from leaving for work until getting home. The Dr didn't like that and said he'd write me off as soon as I wanted. Had I worked longer, I know I would have gotten way more stressed, tired, gained more weight and I doubt things would have gone the same way.

Average-ish pregnancy. No major problems, but I had no appetite, was sick all the way through, and struggled to put on and keep on weight. Loads of pain, especially towards the end....moving at all often had me in tears. Some swelling, but that's normal, especially considering I had an August baby.

Tougher labor. 31 hours from first contraction I couldn't sleep through until delivery. I was very sick...I lost count of how many times I threw up. Back labor from a posterior baby and my epidural stopped working twice. Pretty bad pp hemorrhage, and wasn't allowed to get out of bed for something like 6 hours after delivery.

But healthy, relatively easy baby. He would only ever sleep while being held and cluster-nursed almost around the clock, but was breastfeeding was very very easy for us and he was otherwise pretty chill, and was eventually very easy to sleep-train.

I had an easy, textbook pregnancy (measured right on track every single exam). I had nausea all throughout the first trimester, but only threw up twice. We went a week past my due date, and I worked right up to my due date (no swelling, though I did have ankles swell up about a week after birth).

Labor, except for being back labor and uncomfortable, never got to the super painful point. I walked into the hospital, hung out in the waiting room until they had a spot for me in triage, was told that I probably wasn't dilated much since I was acting so fine. I was, I believe, 5cm dilated at that point ;). Got an epi soon after being admitted, and maybe 6 hours later was pushing. Pushing took over an hour. I had some tearing but not bad, and recovery was fine.

First was average pregnancy and long labor. Second was easy pregnancy and very easy labor. Of course maternal fetal loves me, and I was monitored weekly towards the end for my diet controlled GD and smaller than average baby. DS2 arrived at 39 weeks, and I had a very fast labor which only lasted for less than 4 hours from start to finish. He is healthy and a super easy baby.

The second half of my pregnancy was really hard. Despite exercising and being really healthy in general, I had terrible hip pain and could only take a few steps at a time or stand up for a few minutes. I had awful heartburn, too. Like, completely changed my diet, took prescription medicine, flew threw bottles of tums, and would still end up waking up gagging on bile in the night. The first half was fine, mild nausea but some really bad cramping.

Labor was tough. I went into labor naturally when my water broke. An hour later I was two centimeters and contracting regularly. I had back labor and intense hip pain. After four hours of contractions, I was checked again. 2.5 centimeters. I asked for an epidural. It took an hour to get. By that point I was 6 centimeters. It never fully took. It took a few hours to set in and started wearing off half an hour after that. I still had intense hip pain the whole time. The baby wasn't descending so the MW had me start pushing. I pushed for three hours and had a second degree tear (though that never bothered me). He was sunny side up and rotated at the last second to come out sideways. I was in labor 14 hrs.

I know everyone's definitions of easy and hard are different and I'm sure some women wouldn't mind what I went through. But I had a rough time. I think I thought if I exercised and was healthy, I would soar through it all. Even now it bugs me when I see women post stuff like "well my labor was really easy, but that's because I was in such good shape!" So much of it is just luck and genetics.

I had a fairly difficult pregnancy (took us 19 months to conceive, terrible morning sickness, almost kidney failure, a scare on the ultrasound the LO was missing her stomach, GD, massive swelling).

Both my pregnancies were what you'd call "easy" - no nausea (only when I didn't eat!), no real back pain, no complications. I did have post partum PUPPP (body rash - major itching!! drove me crazy. which lasted about a week).

First delivery was induced at 38 weeks 5 days. My LO was measuring small so they decided to get him out. Induced around 4pm and delivered 8am the following day. Other than the ton of instruments, poking, prodding, bulb catheter, not being able to pee bc of all the things I was hooked up to down there - the actual delivery itself was very fast. 3 pushes maybe? No real tearing so no stitches.

Second delivery was very quick so no time for an epidural!! (that was NOT planned). Felt contractions around 3pm and delivered 11:30pm. I labored at home most of the time (got to the hospital at 9:30pm-ish) Waiting for the dr to get there was the most painful part bc of all the pressure that I felt down there. Pushed maybe twice and he came out. 2nd degree tears and some placenta was still left inside which the dr had to manually remove (I told my OB that I actually hated her at that point, which she later laughed about) but otherwise everything else fine.

I feel very lucky that both deliveries were "easy" and can say I was in the camp of easy pregnancy, easy delivery...Nothing to brag about...just saying its possible :)

I'm not sure, because I have nothing to compare with! My pregnancy was...ok I guess. I had morning sickness pretty much all the way through, but that was my only bad symptom really...I didn't struggle with tiredness, lack of sleep, nor too many aches and pains and was able to remain active right up to the end.

My labour was long...28hrs from first contraction to delivery, but I don't think it was particularly bad and I would say compared to what I've heard on here, my delivery was very easy.

So if I had to vote, I'd say easy pregnancy, easy labour.

@oliviaoblivia: very true! Easy baby is the best :)

I had a fairly easy pregnancy. All day nausea for about 20 weeks...I remember saying I wouldn't have another baby at the time...but once it cleared I had a super easy pregnancy. I did gain a ton of weight but I felt great up until my due date...she was 2 days late.

I voted easy pregnancy hard labor but I don't know if that's accurate. My labor stalled and I spiked a fever and LO's heart rate was super high and tests later showed I had some uterine infection and it crossed over to her so we were both had IVs and antibiotics in the hospital for 4 days. So I ended up with an unplanned c-section but it was "easy" (bled too much and almost ended up with blood transfusion bc my uterus wouldn't stop bleeding) in the sense that I had a super easy recovery and was walking around the next day and had no issues PP. BF was tough bc my milk didn't come in but once that worked itself out everything was easy. LO was such an easy baby which is where I think I lucked out the most.

I had a textbook easy pregnancy with the exception of needing non-stress tests from about 34 weeks on. My labor was also relatively easy. I knew that I was truly in labor at about 2:00am and arrived at the hospital at 5:45am already at 5cm. LO was born just after 1:00pm although I had to push for 2 1/2 hours. I blame that on the fact that I don't think I was actually ready to push when I started, but all in all, it was very easy! I had a pretty bad tear (ouch!) but nothing that some stiches couldn't take care of.
