My midwife said she was pretty aggressive while doing it and it worked! When into labour the next morning at 5am and DS was born at 7am that same morning. </p> <p>DD- sweep at 3:30pm, active contractions started literally as I was leaving the carpark. Went to the hospital about 7pm that night. She was born the next morning after not the best labour. </p> <p>For some they work, for others no. The first sweep (at 40+2) didn't really hurt and did absolutely nothing.
