Even though I felt fine after 1 month, DTD was painful and I went to physio. If you have the coverage, I would look into one that specializes in post partum care. I went to my OB who suggested physical therapy but I couldn't bring myself to go. You might talk to your OB/midwife. I hesitated to ask my new midwife about it, and when I finally did she saw that I needed a bit of revision. I will say that I'm 12 months PP and still have some discomfort while DTD. I'm not sure if that's the norm, though. I also haven't had a period PP yet, but I'm anxious about using tampons as well. I remember being very sore for the first couple weeks, and then not noticing it as much after. At my 6 week pp checkup, they told me I was fully healed, so Hubs and I DTD. We used lots of lube, but it was definitely sore and painful! I only really remember it feeling sore when we were DTD and I didn't notice it at other times. I think all the soreness was gone by 6-7 months pp.</p> <p>I think if you still feel sore in general, you might want to speak to your doctor about it.
