Labored for 7 hours and pushed him out on the 3rd set of pushes. Awesome L&D experience! Probably will get induced for #2 as for the same reason if DD keeps up the way she is. Went in at 5 am and had a baby by 2 pm. They used a Foley bulb and Pitocin. I talked to my friend whose story was really worrying me. It was her third and she was in labor (after being induced) for over 30 hours. It was freaking me out. But. She clarified that she was induced 3.5 weeks early for medical reasons and her body wasn't ready. So totally different. I didn't know that part of the story, so between that and the good stories here, I'm feeling better! Thank you! @QueensBee: Thank you! They were going to start around 8:30 after I was done with paperwork but they had five women come in 7cm and up (one was already at a 9). I had a room and had filled things out already so they just gave us vouchers for free breakfast until they were ready at 10/10:30. I highly doubt the pitocin had much play in labor starting. I was having contractions when I arrived and we only did Cytotec to induce (I was given the choice for that or pitocin) and the labor went well! Way faster than with my first!! Second induction went even better because obviously I think my body knew what to do.
