My water broke at 39+5, and I was dilated at all until several hours later. I went from 3 to 10 in about 4 hours. Nothing progressed past that and I had a c-section at 40+2. But I also didn't give birth until 3 days past my due date. I had a check at 36, barely 1cm, and then didn't have another till 39 weeks, when I was almost 3. (I've had them in the past due to all the BH contractions and spotting I've had throughout this pregnancy, so I'm not opposed to having them now). Anyway, OB said I was closed, long and thick. Baby is head down but not engaged. Curious when everyone started to see progress, or if nothing happened until you went into labor! </p>
