I got regular u/s at 6w to confirm an inuterine pregnancy. One at 8w to establish an EDD. I had one late one last time but it was the result of a trip to the hospital for an NST. My doc did 8 weeks, 20 weeks, and I'll have one more around 37/38. We didn't do an NT scan this time because we did the genetic blood test and given that I'm not AMA my doc didn't see a need for both. Some people only get the 20 week scan. I've had one at 8 weeks(confirm pregnancy), 12.5 weeks (NT) and am scheduled for 20 weeks (anatomy scan, but we're not going to find out the sex). Not like you already have Y chromosomes floating around. Now - she hasnt been born yet so I supposed there is still a chance but both techs were very confident! I hadn't had one since 8 weeks and wasn't going to get one until 20 weeks and it seemed like such a long wait! WIth my first LO I had so many complications that I got ultrasounds a lot. So having the "normal" amount this time around was weird.
