Ok, there is something wrong with my meter (I hope!) because I stopped eating at 6 pm last night and even exercised after the girls went to sleep.

My fasting was 310. I was shocked and I still had enough blood for another strip and that one was 82. Yeah, I think I will chill out until I know that I have GD. :P

@Torchwood: I'm craving some sweets right now!

I've been sorta trying to do better, but the reality is that I love my sweets so I'm enjoying them while I can most days. Which is a terrible plan but I also know I won't do good with it unless I'm accountable to someone. My blood test is in a couple weeks. Dreading it being bad (I'm convinced it will be), but it's better to know j guess. If I find my test kit before then I'm sure I'll test myself.

I was told less than 90 in the morning. I would sometimes have a mid 90 but I don't think I hit over 100.

I was diagnosed for my 2nd pregnancy though I think I had it with my 1st too. I haven't asked if they'll test early next time. I'll probably watch what I eat before early on. But if I feel crappy, I'll eat whatever sounds good!

I'm pretty sure that I've eaten high amounts of sugar for so long that my body is now immune. Because I've passed the test twice, somehow.

Good luck on tuesday!!

I didn't do the GD diet before necessary (and did have GD for #2 as well).

103 is high for fasting, recommendations tend to be 90-95 as a maximum.

I get to do a post partum glucose test next week (2 hour) and get my A1C checked every 6 months now too. It's a good thing I had chocolate chip cookies for breakfast.

Congrats as well :)

I think the fasting glucose is supposed to be 90 or less. I just had my first and had GD. Now I follow a modified diabetes diet - I still follow some of the advice the diabetes educator gave me but allow myself carbs and sweets sometimes. If I get pregnant again, I would test myself probably before I got the diagnosis again because I think eating better helped my pregnancy and LO.

I probably should... But no, not really :silly: At 7 weeks, I'm just trying to eat whatever is appealing and doesn't make my stomach turn. I'm trying to get better about it though. I believe my fasting numbers were supposed to be between 70-90.

What?? ! I'm so out of the loop right now, BFP? Yay!!!!!!
I didn't have GD but I would probably try and eat as much sugar and carbs before someone told me to stop :silly:

Did you try to follow the GD diet or test your blood sugar before you got the official diagnosis for your next pregnancy?

I just pricked my finger for the first time since May 2013 and my fasting number was 103 at 6am. I don't remember if that is bad or good? I did eat a handful of Cheezits before I went to bed at midnight...
