I'm so sorry-a friend of mine had some success with a pump on her body. Another friend of mine is feeling better in her third tri. I hope yours doesn't last until delivery

@babycanuck: have you tried to add metonia/metaclopramide? The three drugs combined is the winning combination for me. I fainted in the mall alone with my toddler this pregnancy - it was terrible. I really sympathize. I planned on having four kids before I got pregnant with my first. After my second hospitalization for fluids when I had the 26 week relapse this time, even my husband said we needed to have fewer kids.

@babycanuck: yeah, this sounds scary to me, too. I'm at 12w1d with twins and I threw up again yesterday and today. I'm on zofran 3x, reglan 4x and an acid reducer each day and I did have 3 good days. These babies don't seem to like Friday's, the weekend and Monday. What's up with that? Give mommy a little break. Oh, I've been hospitalized once at 8 weeks. Wondering if I'll have to go back in again.

oh man.

This is so scary.

This has definitely changed my life plans - I'm pretty sure I'll be one and done. I fainted in a store today, I felt it coming on and sat down in their changing area, no one noticed I blacked out for about 10 seconds. Came home, puked my guts up and then went to bed.

Mine improved a lot at 20 weeks. I still threw up everyday, but it was more manageable. I had it until I delivered at 27 weeks (unrelated to HG.) I was on a Zofran pump for the worst few weeks and that really helped. Maybe that could be an option for you?

It gets better or is gone by 20 weeks for 80 percent of people. For me, mine is controllable with lots of medication at the 20 week mark, but I still have a lot of nausea, food aversions, inability to prepare food, excess saliva and gagging. With this pregnancy I also had a bad relapse at 26 weeks that landed me in the hospital. Although the HG is worse this pregnancy, I found it harder to deal with in my first pregnancy because I kept expecting that getting better was right around the corner, and I never got truly better until I gave birth.

When I had the baby. I'm sorry, I so wish I could give you a different answer. I ended up on Zofran for depression because my HG just made me feel so low and regret everything. It was worth it, but I know that's almost impossible to imagine when you're in the thick of it.

I'm sorry, honey. It is so, SO hard. I know what its like to be laying on the bathroom floor, just praying to be unconscious rather than face one more day of it. I went through it twice, and I'm not going to lie, if I got pregnant again, knowing what was inevitably coming, I would have a nervous breakdown. With my first, I didn't have to be hospitalized, and I was functional at 20 weeks. With my second, it was much worse, I was hospitalized once, should have gone again but refused due to costs, was on 8 mg of Zofran 3x a day, and it eased up a bit mid way through. It went away completely, immediately after birth, both times. I'm so very sorry, I know it seems like one more hour is too long, let alone any longer. But you *will* survive it, and I promise, as unimaginable as it is now, you will gaze upon your sweet baby and know you'd do it all over again. It's worth it. I am in a private HG support group on Facebook that helped me a lot, if you'd like me to add you, I'd be happy to-- just wall me. Hang in there, mama.

My friend had it with both pregnancies and unfortunately it seems to end only with delivery. It has gotten better for her around 16/20 weeks though, as it she can be out and about more and has fewer really bad days.

I'm not an expert, but the two ppl I've known w true HG have it until they deliver. I just have very bad, 24/7 nausea with my pregnancies but it goes away (or gets better) so I know it's not HG. I am 21 weeks Monday and now it's improved to come-and-go nausea.

I'm at 24 weeks and it is mildly better but not gone. I also have a head cold and can't smell, so maybe that is why it seems better?

I don't know how much more of this I can take...

I've been hospitalized only once, luckily....

I have zofran and diclactin...

I fainted while out shopping today and EVERYTHING, every smell, everything I eat, is making me puke.

Please please please tell me there's an end to this.
