@rachiecakes: @Monkula: @sandy: thanks, ladies! The change in the evening feed has been fairly sudden so it has taken me by surprise but I am trying to follow her lead and come up with a new evening routine.

She is getting up super early these days (like 5:30) so we have long, leisurely morning sessions that have been nice.

Just wondering how it went from this point onward!

My LO self weaned right at 14 months and for a long time she had been down to the morning and evening feeding but they were both super short and she hardly nursed at all...she never asked for it and basically just latched and then would pop off in a minute or less...so one night I just didn't offer and she went to bed like normal. In the morning I gave her a sippy of water and we went about our day and the whole day she never tried to nurse or showed interest so I just stopped offering and we were done. I had no problems adjusting....I think bc she just kept nursing for a shorter and shorter amount of time my supply had adjusted.

Your supply will work itself out. E nursed at night until age 5. For the last several months that was pretty much the only time she did nurse, and we would have skipped days here and there. She kept going about six more months once we were down to 1x a day (evening/bedtime).

By 10.5 months he was just doing morning and night, he started to get fussy in the morning and I had to get out the door (WOHM since he was 7 weeks) at 11 months he dropped to just night for a little over a week before he gave that up too, he just wanted to grab his lovey and go to bed. Bittersweet.

Specifically, how long did they keep going once they went down to one feeding? Which one did they keep longest--morning or evening?

LO is 15 months, we have dayweaned but seem to be on the verge of dropping the evening feeding to leave just the morning. Just hoping my supply can keep up!
