The fact that it returned near the end shocked me more than anything. It was so hard hearing people say "oh, you must be feeling so much better now!" after my first trimester when I was still so sick. I started feeling nausea even before my BFP at 10 DPO, but it didn't get terrible until 6 weeks. It got progressively worse until at 10 weeks I was vomiting several times a day, couldn't bear the thought of drinking anything and got super dehydrated, and felt so green the rest of the day that I literally wanted to die, so I finally went on medication (Diclegis) to help manage it. The medication helps sooo much but I still vomit once a week on it and still feel mildly nauseated about 30% of the time, but I can totally handle that. I'm not sure when/if it will go away for me. My little sister has had HG with all three of her pregnancies and hers goes away around 16 weeks, but mine is sticking around much longer, it seems. Morning sickness, especially severe morning sickness, is the pits. I'm not sure I will ever have another child due to it--I just don't think I could handle this while parenting another child, AND holding down a job!
