There is hope ladies! The nausea I was experiencing several weeks ago, when I originally wrote this post, only lasted a few days and then disappeared. I'm 14 weeks now and feel perfectly normal 95% of the time with no food aversions or nausea, really hoping it continues this way! And hope some more of you are able to avoid MS!

I had some morning sickness with DS. Mostly between weeks 7-9 and again from 13-15 (we were also traveling during that time). This pregnancy I have had to pretty much off and on, every few days, since about week 9. I'm currently 23w4d and nauseous.

Ok, my verdict has changed...I'm on my third pregnancy, and MS has already arrived at 4 weeks, and I've never felt this nauseated before. I know it's supposed to kick in at 6 weeks, so I'm worried how I'm about to feel!

Ok, this thread is making me a bit sad as it sounds as though the trend is for people to either have no MS with their first pregnancy but to have it with their second, or that the MS gets worse with each pregnancy!

@Sugar.Biscuit: thanks so much for that, I had no idea it could indicate low potassium! I have another drs appt on Friday so I'll ask about it then, but in the mean time, I'll start eating more bananas. Thank you!

@Koolbreeze: I'm so hoping I follow your trend - I felt better yesterday after writing this post and actually managed to eat somewhat normally yesterday; feeling pretty good today as well, so fingers crossed, it was just a temporary blip on the radar! You give me hope it is possible to have two MS free (relatively) pregnancies!

No MS either pregnancy.

Well...I'd feel a little nauseated here and there but nothing major, no vomiting, no need for meds. Didn't bother me too much.

My voted is a little skewed. I voted no MS either time, because I didn't actually throw up either time.

I had no morning sickness with DS. Then, with S, I didn't throw up, but I was definitely more queasy than I was with DS.

Congrats! I had maybe two days of very mild nausea with #1. I'm now almost 13 weeks with #2 and I was nauseous from about weeks 5 to 11. My symptoms were feeling sick if my stomach was empty, feeling aversions to practically everything but bread and I definitely lost a few pounds. Luckily, I wasn't throwing up at all. I'm so grateful that the MS seems to be behind me. While it was fairly mild, it was definitely unpleasant, especially compared to my first.

All the info out there seems to state the opposite, that the second time should be less severe. I had severe MS from weeks 5.5 to 18 with my first, and eating made it worse. I was in bed that whole time, and lost a lot of weight. Trying to go anywhere made my vision black out, made me dizzy, sweaty, and instantly start hurling. This time, it's still early, and so far has been less severe, but I got hit with a pretty nauseated day today. Guess time will tell.

None at all with my first. Some mild food aversions, but that was it. This time, I had moderate M/S until 15 weeks, and really bad food aversions that persist even now (I'm 21 weeks).

P.S. -- People will try to tell you that this means you're having the opposite gender. Not true with me!

For my first I had three bad weeks in my second trimester. With this one, MS started at 7 weeks and has me hurling almost everyday. I stopped breastfeeding #1 last week because my milk dried up, but I'm still sick. I'm hoping this means it's a boy this time. :P

my ms wasn't too bad the first time, as long as I made sure I was never hungry. I'm 10 weeks in this time, and it has been so so much worse!! i know I need to eat, but i cant convince myself to eat anything. I'm still nursing on demand too :) hopefully it gets better for you sooner rather than later!!!

6weeks 4 days with out MS. I'm scared that I don't have it so any advice you can give me to get through would be awesome! I would make sure to talk to your doctor. If your having diarrhea on top of it there maybe more going on. I had it for the first two weeks after I got my bfp & it ended up being low potassium, not my IBS. Hope you feel better soon momma!

@BabyBoecksMom: Thanks! It was a huge fear of mine as well and now it seems to be coming to fruition - noooo! So unfair, everything seems to say that your first pregnancy should be used as a pretty good indicator for how subsequent pregnancies will be.....but not in my case right now. Boo.

If you had no morning sickness in your first pregnancy, were the rest of your pregnancies morning sickness free as well?

I was so hoping this would be the case but we're around 5.5 - 6 weeks pregnant with our second LO and I am definitely feeling the nausea this time. Last time I never even felt queasy (but did have terrible cramping) so this is a completely new, and entirely unwelcome, feeling for me. I have zero appetite and anything I do try to eat either runs right through me, or makes me feel so crappy that it's not worth the effort to eat!

I'm still BF'ing my 11.5 month old DD four times per day and am wondering if this is making things worse. Regardless, I need to get some food in me but just hate feeling so crappy! It's better when I don't eat, which seems to go against what everyone else says about MS. :-/

Ugh, I am hoping this is just a temporary thing and is gone ASAP because it sucks!!!

Any stories to share?
