I went in for a second anatomy scan to check on other issues and the doctor noticed it was on the shorter side. It was about 2.5cm at that time and stayed around 2-2.5cm until 30 weeks. At 34 weeks it shortened to .3-.9cm. Her practice does a quick ultrasound at every appointment, plus she was high-risk in a previous pregnancy so they have extra appointments for ANY issue (preterm labor at 22-23 weeks). She started having some contractions this time at, I think, 24 weeks and they found her cervix was a little short when they checked it out. It corrected itself by 30. They have checked my cervix each time I've had an ultrasound (which is often).
