I have bought dermelastic serum throughout my pregnancy and my belly an hips are stretch mark free! The smell is not offensive. It is not a greasy serum. It is very easy and quick to apply. It does not leave any scent on your clothes. I hope this helps anyone out there looking!

I used Dermelastic serum while pregnant and had stretch marks. I used this serum every night before going to bed and it noticeably lightened the stretch marks. I would highly recommend!

I had a few stretch marks from puberty, but thought I had avoided stretch marks during my pregnancy. Then after DD was born I realized they were all on the lower part of my stomach so I couldn't see them while pregnant. :(
The good thing is they faded a lot. But, this time I'm sure it'll be worse.

I had them on my boobs and back/hips from slight but rapid weight gain during study abroad. They aren't horrible but they're def there.
I got ZERO new stretch marks from pregnancy. Maybe on my boobs but I can't tell. Zero on my stomach, hips, thighs like I thought I would. My sister also got none (3 kids!). My mom however did have them. So I'm not 100% sold it's hereditary.
I did use bio-oil and Burts Bees belly butter my whole pregnancy.

I've had Dermalmd Stretch Mark Cream for a week and I'm already seeing my purple stretch marks lighten! I tried a different product while I was pregnant and shortly after and it did nothing. Wish I would have started dermalmd earlier!!

I have stretch marks on my hips, thighs and breasts from puberty, nothing too major. I didn't get any new ones and my existing ones didn't get worse during my first two pregnancies. I'm carrying a lot bigger this third pregnancy and I weigh more this one, so I'm not sure if I"ll end up with some new ones at the end, but so far there's nothing new.

I also had stretch makes on my hips (love handles) and thighs from puberty. And pregnancy was a million times worse- they span my entire stomach from pubis bone to just above belly button, and hip to hip. It's terrible :(

But, I've mostly learned to be okay with it. My husband has helped a lot- he says I'm gorgeous and sexy no matter what and we both know they are symbols of the amazing work my body did to bring my son into this world. It took me a long time to be ok with it though.

I got the worst stretch marks from puberty on my inner and outer thighs and my chest just from growing. I've always been on the small side and never overweight so it was shocking to get them just from growing fast. A dermatologist prescribed a cream to use but I don't feel like it did any good. I haven't had a child yet but I also fear getting terrible stretch marks based on what's already happened :( I've decided to get myself the laser treatment when done having children to remove the marks if I get them. They are embarrassing and ugly in my opinion and I don't want those on my stomach forever.

I could have written your post! I have terrible stretch marks from puberty - things and hips- i was always so embarrassed. Not overweight either. Didn't get a single one from my first pregnancy! I used cocoa butter lotion. My stomach looks 98% exactly the same as it did pre preg... Maybe just a tiny bit less firm. Hoping to have the same luck with this next preg!

Somewhat? All of my stretch marks (from growth spurts, weight gain/loss etc) are pretty much white/silver and on my love handles/sides. They seemed to maybe increase a little but nothing noticible unless you were really looking. But then a few weeks ago I noticed a few redder/purple slight lines under my belly button. They kind of come and go as far as how noticible they are- I *THINK* those are going to be some stretch marks. I could have done better lotioning so I wonder if I could have prevented. FWIW they appeared after I started getting a REALLY itchy abdomen (probably 34 weeks ish?) - at first I thought it was just marks from me scratching! Still has yet to be seen how they'll turn out. I hope you can not get any new ones!!!!!!! (Oh and I'm 38+2 right now)

I have old stretch marks all over from when I was a teenager. I was convinced I would get them when pregnant. However, all I got was one tiny stretch "dot". AND I gained about 57 pounds...

I have some from puberty - very similar situation to yours. And I didn't get any with my pregnancy, even though I gained about 50 pounds. I religiously greased up my stomach with cocoa butter oil. Not sure if it was that or genetics, but I will be doing the same thing with the next pregnancy!

@SupernovaJ: I will put lotion on them, and I may get cocoa butter. But otherwise, I've pretty much accepted the fact that I'm doomed, lol. Hopefully any new ones I get will fade!

@VanillaBean: that'll most likely be the case for me too. Seems like it varied for everyone so there's really no way to tell. Thanks for sharing!

@sarac: love that you're so unbothered by them. When it comes to stretch marks I tend to be on the extremely vain side. Haha.

@Lindsay05: I agree, no way to prevent them and it's so hard to gauge whether you will or not. Everyone's responses varied. You were lucky with LO #1, hoping you won't get many at all with this pregnancy!

@runsyellowlites: no idea if my grandmothers did. I'm sure someone did, clearly it's in my genes. The ones from puberty are severe. I've seen others who also have the ones from their hips after a growth spurt but 9/10 times mine are usually the worst. I'm doomed but that's okay. ;)

@sophia: I'm the same, super self conscious. My belly hasn't grown too much yet but I'm nervous for what the future holds. Eek.

Thanks for sharing all

@purpledaisy @mrsstar @mslipgloss @deerylou @mrsjyw @rubies oh you ladies are so lucky! It really seems like it's hit or miss and not even dependent on amount of weight gain as it seems it all varied. At least there's hope! Thank you for sharing.

@danizaur: good luck! Hope it stays that way :)

@evansjamie: roadmap... That's how I would describe my hips. Really not looking forward to getting more but in the end of course I don't mind.

@dreamocracy: my biggest fears too :( thank you for sharing. They suck for sure, I hate mine, but overall a small price to pay for a healthy baby.

@lovelyplum: have you tried any creams just for peace of mind? It's such a hassle and I feel like I'm always a big greaseball. I'm worried the ones around my hips will also get extra stretched. But overall a very small price to pay. :)

I have them on my hips and a few little guys on the back of my knees (?). I made it through puberty with none, and then got a few when I was in treatment and restoring weight. I've always been super self conscious of them, but they've faded quite well. I haven't been pregnant yet (we're TTC), and I really hope I don't end up with a ton more once I am.

I have a few on my upper thighs/hips from puberty, but they're really hard to pinpoint, and have almost faded with time, entirely. I got zero stretch marks from pregnancy. I used mama bee belly cream, but was inconsistent. I drank a ton of water, and only gained about 19 pounds. In the end, I'm just chalking it up to good genes and strong skin.

Did your grandma have stretch marks? Alot of time the genetics can skip a generation. :(

I got stretch marks from growth as a teen (was never overweight) and got really bad stretch marks with my first child. :( My mom also didn't get ANY stretch marks with either of her pregnancies, but my grandmother did.

Boo all that mess!
