Even though pregnancy was more than a little crazy at times I wouln't give that up for anything. I would also never choose medicated labour given the chance to have another unmedicated labour. I hated being pregnant, but I was pretty freaked out about labor/having a newborn (even though we'd been trying for over a year). Carrying him for 9 months gave me time for the idea of having a baby to become a reality, mentally. I went from saying "shit this is going too fast I'm not ready I'll be a horrible mother and I'm so freaked out and what if I drop him/her?" to "Okay, time to get this baby out of me, I'm ready". I enjoyed birth even though after my meds wore off it was painful, so I would love to have a pain free birth ;) I wouldn't give up either experience though. For myself, I'd choose option 1, I think. I fracking hated being pregnant SO MUCH.
