But if it were really up to me and the baby were healthy either way, I would choose boy for two reasons. First, DH and I are both the youngest and there are already 12 grandchildren between our two families, but his parents don't have a grandson yet. So we would finally have our chance to be the first at something. Second, I feel like a boy would be an easier transition into becoming a parent since they are less expensive. I have an older brother and sister and my sister was way more nurturing and helpful. My brother could care less that I existed when I was born. Lo loves playing with dolls, changing their diapers, wiping their tushy, giving bottles, etc. and she's only 18 months. I hope this is a sign she'll be an awesome helpful big sister some day!
