I love my job and the work I do. But I probably WOULD try to work part-time instead of full-time, especially once the baby is here. Hubs and I really want to teach our children to have a strong work ethic, which I think you can totally do as a SAHM, but I know I wouldn't be as effective at it as I would be as a WOHM. I would go back to work though to give my notice and to give us time to hire and attorney and make sure that it was all official. But once that was done and the money was ours, I would quit my job. I'm a little embarrassed of how genuinely sad I am not to win the lottery. I don't even need to win millions! I'd be happy with like $10,000. Just enough to give us a little more breathing room. I know two people who won modest sums like that before. One got it through a scratch off and the other matched a few numbers on powerball or mega millions. I saw a couple who won another Powerball prize yesterday talking about how they've gotten hundreds of letters from friends, family, and even strangers asking for money--that sounds overwhelming! It got me wondering if we could just never tell anyone we won, not even our families. I don't think I'd want to go crazy buying huge mansions, cars, etc. I think for me, the best part of winning the lottery would be being able to live comfortably without ever worrying about money. I don't even think I'd want to change my lifestyle that much--just buy a relatively normal-sized house, regular cars, pay for my kids' college, pay off my student loans. Maybe I would take the time to find my "dream job" but I don't think I would want to not work at all.
