Then they ask if I'm going to try for a girl next. Yes, I'd love to have a girl - but the likelihood is that I'd try for a girl and get either another boy or another set of multiples. I'm not ready to even think that far ahead for a couple years. PS: Can I just say that the same kind of comments regarding twins is getting SO annoying right now. I can almost predict what people will say as soon as they find out. I think people can tell I'm pretty elated to be a girl mom, but it wouldn't really bug me if people asked, I'd just say we wanted 2 and got them, and now we're done. We're two and through. So, we're a two boy family. I'm happy with it. I know that my MIL wasn't happy about not having a girl and made it clear throughout DH's childhood especially when he started dating too. It's truly disrespectful to the new little life you are growing. Plus having more does not guarantee anything but more obnoxious comments from others as you wait to find out. My friend had four boys and they are all such unique little people. I just reminded myself not only how awesome it was to have a sibling of my gender but also how amazing each new life and personality is. I also planned to remind people that gender is not based on sex organs but how we feel and who we are in our souls. It's obnoxious how much emphasis people put on it. Or maybe it just seemed that way because we've been so cooped up this winter. What I do notice a lot though is people assume lo2 is a girl.
