DD is 2.5 and DS is only 7 weeks, so he's not quite on a nap schedule yet. Just sleeping most of the time and we do whatever we need to do. I have started noticing in the plast week+ that if we are home, he only naps well while DD is also napping. I guess she is too loud at home to keep him asleep (even with the sound machine). When he is on 2 or 3 naps a day, we'll still probably structure the day around the toddler, and then hope they both get one good long nap simultaneously at home. When DD drops her nap (agh! not looking forward to that), we'll probably structure our outings to make sure we're at home for the longest one(s).

I go by the older two's schedule. They nap once a day, so I'm home for that. The baby usually naps during that time too, but for the rest of the day, she naps on the go. If she is slesping and we need to go somewhere, I just get her up and she will sleep in the car seat.

Naps on the go! My toddler takes some mommy and me classes in the mornings and I will wear the infant and she has her best sleep when I'm wearing her!

We plan our day around the toddler (or us) and baby sleeps on the go. We would never leave the house otherwise.

My second has been a great on the go napper. We'd go run errands mid-morning and be home for a late lunch and nap. We would just revolve around my oldest's schedule to aim for the double nap.

Once my oldest started school, it has forced us out of the house earlier in the morning. So I'll drop him off, run a few errands with the littlest and try to catch an hour nap before we leave to pick him up from school.

DS2 is 3.5 months and most of our days out have been on the go, he naps well in the car and is a pretty flexible baby.

Now that I'm back at work, he usually does his morning and early afternoon at home.... and then take a short catnap if I run errands with them late afternoon.

It was harder when ds1 was still on his one nap (he just started dropping it the last few weeks) and scheduling our day around that vs the baby's naps!

My babes were very scheduled and not on the go nappers. I would have a short window to go somewhere to be home for nap. Often we would just hang outside our house. A lifesaver for me is that my mum lives ten minutes away so we just had/have my 2nd nap there in her room. I plan to do the same for #3. Then I could take DD out or she could take her out in the morning without worrying about messing up DS's schedule.

Up until 4 or 5 months, we did naps on the go. We are on 2 naps, one around 9/10 and the second around 1/2. My son is in preschool FT so it's not an issue during the week. On the weekend, we are more flexible with naps.

Baby takes her first nap, then we go out. If she cat naps while we are out, then I push her second "real" nap by about an hour. If she doesn't cat nap while we are out, I put her down at the same time as the toddler and then she gets a little cat nap later. We only have about a 3 hour window in the morning, and a 2 hour window in the afternoon to be out of the house. It isn't my favorite, but we are making it work.

8 month old naps from 8:30-10, and then usually 1-2:30 (or 2-3:30). Bedtime is 6:30/7
2.5 year old naps from 1-4, bedtime at 8.

The baby was great at napping on the go until probably 4-5 months. Until then we just went about our day so long as the baby was fed, etc.

When the baby was on 3 naps it was really hard. On two naps, he naps usually 8:30-10 and then 1:30-3 so we get out right after his nap and make sure we are home for lunch by 12:30/1. My 3.5 year old doesn't nap and is flexible.

My little guy is awesome at napping on the go right now, so we structure everything around the toddler's nap. However, if he gets to be the type that only naps in his crib, I don't think we'll ever leave the house!

I have a 4 month old and a three year old. I cannot figure out how to get the 4 month old the naps that she needs and find time in between to take the three year old to the park or play dates or whatever. If you have a baby and a toddler, how is your morning structured?
