We had to take an exam to graduate and it was 3 essays you had to write and memorize sources (like 15) for. We had a final paper + a class to teach + capstone project, but not exactly a thesis. </p> <p>My paper was about the case for folk singer-songwriters as poets, with a focus on Ani DiFranco :) My class: Tapping Into Trauma: Sometimes the Bad Stuff Can be Good (for Your Poetry). We did have to do a capstone project with a group of students. Mine was assessing the economic impact of a military base on the region &amp; state. It was interesting, but the part I worked on only wound up being 2 pages of a 100+ page report, so I do feel like most of the semester was a waste of time.
