I have my 6 week post-insertion check up on Thursday and I'll be interested to hear if the doc thinks I should be able to feel them. </p> <p>@grizz: I obviously haven't had mine long, but the insertion was quick and painless for me. I was a little worried about it but I took some advil an hour ahead of time and it was a piece of cake. After DS, I had it for 4 1/2 years until we were ready for another one.</p> <p>After DD&lt; I had it put in at my 6 wk pp and it fell out at some point and now we are pregnant with another :/ So I would recommend it IF you are able to check your strings!! I have only had it 5 or 6 weeks but I haven't noticed it affecting my supply. Insertion was fast and pretty painless, just a bit of cramping as it was being placed. I had none of the spotting, weight gain, etc. I had it in at 6 weeks pp and still have not had a period 14 months later. I love mine. We're in it for the long haul.
