I REALLY wanted a doctor who supported our way of parenting and choices - I wanted the freedom to choose whether to vaccinate or not, a dr who wouldn't just prescribe antibiotics for an illness but instead find the real problem, someone who was ok if we needed to cosleep etc etc. We found the MOST amazing doctor, and when you find someone who ENCOURAGES you to cosleep - you stick with them no matter their gender!!<br /> @chopsuey119: oh, I don't think my dr would tell me to stop nursing my son at night because it could give him cavities lol. But I didn't want to change DD1's ped. She loves her ped who is a woman and I didn't want her to go through with changing peds to DD2's who just happened to be male. </p> <p>She was at a stage too where she was scared/anxious at the doctor's office, so yeah... DD1 stayed with her female doc and DD2 got the new male doc, which was great for me because he was a lot closer to us and it was more convenient with all the newborn visits we had to make. DD1 was old enough anyway that we saw her ped only annually, really.
