We have an el cheapo audio monitor in addition to the camera in our better sleeper's room. And I leave the video monitor set to my lo who is more likely to wake. So we have sound on both kids, and if either of them squak, I just pop on the video screen and look at whoever it is. It's a good soluion for us, since the kids rooms are upstairs and we are down.

I would do the baby, unless there's something up with toddler, like sickness. Babies fuss more so I'd like to see if I have to go in or wait it out.

I turn my screen off and when I want to check on them, I turn it on and check.

@Beyond2: mine goes back and forth between the two rooms, but I keep it on the kid I'm more "worried" about.
If DD is sick, the camera will stay on her. DS is close by so I can hear him without a monitor.

Who would you keep the main monitor on? We have two cameras and will have a new born and 19 month old. Unfortunately our monitor does not scroll between cameras or display both at the same time so I have to pick a primary camera to leave on at night. The new baby will be a wall away and easier to hear and my toddler sleeps through the night, but he would be harder to hear at night. Who would you leave the camera on mainly?
