If I email the girl, I don't cc the guy. I just coordinate with the girl directly and we both just tell our husbands separately. But if I email the guy (like in situations where I know the guy better than the girl), I always cc the girl AND my husband. Probably for the same reason you listed... to be respectful of their relationship and not send the wrong message. My hubs has no problem with me making social plans for us so that works. And it seems that most of my friends' husband feel the same (or the friend will specifically tell me they need to clear the date/time with their spouse and they'll get back to me). The only time I email the boys if it's something specific I have to ask THEM.
