They are all still in car seats. Our print is a bit boyish and now my daughter is using it but I didn't really care. I didn't want to pay more just to get a girly one when we had one that was just fine. We bought a graco snugride for our baby and my brother in law gave us their carseat base so we could have a base in both of our cars. Expiration times vary and are according to the date of manufacture, by the way. We ended up buying both of them new carseats so in a year, DD can use DS carseat that's only a year old while DS will get a booster seat. Car seats are good for 5 years and have a date on the bottom, so we made sure ours was still good.
