@mrskansas: I can't help as I haven't gone through this. I can, however, tell you that it is much appreciated. I don't have the boldness to post just yet. But your question has given me inspiration. I can ask about my issues because I'm probably not the only one going through them. We are a community. We are in this together. Let us continue supporting one another!

@mrskansas: I took a few little breaks off of Gonal-f IUI and Clomid cycles
One break my period did not return after 60 days and I took proved a to induce it again
Last break after a failed IUI cycle I actually got pregnant 😁

I did medicated cycles (gonal-f) off and on for 5 years - over that time I did 8 IUIs and 2 IVFs, with some off months for planning, changing doctors, recovering from surgeries, etc. Any month that I wasn't doing medication my cycles were normal.

I did 5 medicated cycles. After the 5th which was a chemical/early miscarriage, my RE suggested a one cycle break & and HSG. I ended up with a 37 day cycle & started acupuncture during my non-medicated cycle. As I started feeling hopeful from acupuncture, we decided that I would take another med free cycle knowing that our next consult with the RE was for an IVF consult & consideration of injectables with IUI. On my second med free cycle (but with acupuncture) I became pregnant with LO.

I did six medicated cycles and then stopped. As soon as I stopped medication I went back to having periods every 3-6 months.

@bhbee: Crazy!

I guess I don't really have a comparison. The last time I had a "normal" cycle was 10 months ago and it was unusually long for me (O'd on CD 30) and that is when I got pregnant with an ectopic. Every cycle since has either been a loss cycle or a medicated one.

I did 4 clomid cycles in a row then took a break and ovulated at the regular time for me (cd17) and got my son! I think the clomid was ruining my lining or something.

What were your cycles like after stopping medication?

I'm coming off three months of medicated cycles and have no idea what to expect! We will not be trying but I'm just wondering what my body is going to do.
I know everyone is different but I would love to hear your experience!
